KELLEY is remembered for her years at iHEARTMEDIA/CHICAGO; midday WVAZ (V1O3), PD/air personality for Urban WGCI (107.5), and briefly PD at the clusters Top 40 WKSC (103.5).
Prior to being transferred to CHICAGO, she was midday/APD & MD for Urban WJLB (97.9)/DETROIT. KELLEY began her career at WAMO/PITTSBURGH.
iHEARTMEDIA SVP/Urban Programming DOC WYNTER told ALL ACCESS, “KRIS was an amazing programmer and talent. She was my sister and I cannot believe she's gone. She touched many lives on-air and as PD, and at one time, as the Urban Brand Coordinator here iHEARTMEDIA. Our industry lost a phenomenal talent.”
RADIO ONE/ATLANTA OM DAVID ‘HURRICANE DAVE’ SMITH added, “We lost a loving spirit, fierce competitor, and a good friend. I truly enjoyed watching her grow from an intern to a midday talent, to MD, and my APD. As a PD, she made her mark on this industry and she will be missed."
