RAB: Ad Revenue Up 1% For August

Total radio ad revenue rose 1% year-to-year and grand total revenue (spot and non-spot) rose 2% for AUGUST, with a healthy 12% jump in national ad sales balanced by a decline of 2% in local sales, according to the RAB's monthly radio revenue report. Non-spot revenue rose 10%.
For the year to date, grand total (spot and non-spot) revenues are flat and spot revenue is down 1%, with national sales up 2% and local down 2%.
