Beyonce Uses Super Bowl Appearance To Launch 'Formation World Tour'

Just as she did three years ago, BEYONCE used a SUPER BOWL performance to help launch her first solo headlining stadium dates, the FORMATION WORLD TOUR, slated to begin APRIL 27th in MIAMI and include dates in LOS ANGELES, NEW YORK, CHICAGO, BOSTON and PHILADELPHIA, closing in HERSHEY, PA, JUNE 12th before starting in EUROPE on JUNE 28th. The show will hit LOS ANGELES' ROSE BOWL on MAY 14th and NEW YORK's CITI FIELD on JUNE 7th.
BEYONCE debuted the new song "Formation," while appearing with COLDPLAY and BRUNO MARS at the SUPER BOWL in SANTA CLARA, CA's LEVI'S STADIUM, dressed in black leather with a routine that has been described as a tribute to the BLACK PANTHERS and a stand against police brutality.
Tickets will go on sale this week, starting with an AMEX pre-sale. The tour’s 40 shows will be split fairly evenly between NORTH AMERICA and the U.K. and EUROPE.
BEYONCE surprise-released "Formation,” which an accompanying music video on SATURDAY, leading up to the SUPER BOWL the following day.
The FORMATION WORLD TOUR is promoted worldwide by LIVE NATION GLOBAL TOURING Chairman ARTHUR FOGEL and his division team.
BEYONCE's "MRS. CARTER WORLD TOUR" of 2013-'14 grossed $212 million, selling nearly 2 million tickets to 126 shows, according to BILLBOARD BOXSCORE.
