Nash-FM Replaced By Bollywood On KSJO/San Jose

CUMULUS MEDIA Country KSJO (NASH FM)/SAN JOSE is no longer on its 92.3 signal, and has been moved to the HD2 signal for Classic Rock sister KSAN (107.7 THE BONE), and UNIVERSAL MEDIA ACCESS, licensee of the station, unveiled BOLLY 92.3, a South Asian format centered on music from BOLLYWOOD movies, TODAY (3/1).
On the NASH FM local affiliate's FACEBOOK page, the departed station posted, "Good morning everyone! We've switched our frequency to the HD radio dial! You can now find NASH at 107.7HD."
CUMULUS released this statement regarding the change, "CUMULUS MEDIA, INC has chosen not to exercise its option to buy station KSJO-FM in SAN JOSE, CA, and, as a result, will be shutting off our KSJO broadcast signal on MARCH 1st, 2016 when the station's operation returns to its owner, UNIVERSAL MEDIA. In mid-2014, CUMULUS began operating the station on a test basis under its NASH Country brand, but has since concluded that it did not fit strategically based on CUMULUS' existing geographic footprint in the region. This decision has no impact on CUMULUS' commitment to its NASH brand nationally."
