SCRIPPS Country KTTS/SPRINGFIELD, MO APD/MD CASH WILLIAMS has launched the "#BeBetter" campaign across the station. "I started using the phrase a few years ago when I'd be talking about men not treating women the way they should, or someone not doing the right thing -- or even in reference to a mistake I made," WILLIAMS told ALL ACCESS. "It's all about self-improvement. Within the past year, I started mentoring at the local BOYS & GIRLS CLUB, and it fit in with what we were trying to do there. Shirts are the best way to spread that message, so it all just came together."
In partnership with sponsor MID-MISSOURI BANK, KTTS and WILLIAMS have had shirts created with the #BeBetter hashtag across the front. The shirts are available for purchase at all of the MID-MISSOURI BANK locations, and all proceeds from the shirts are donated directly back to the local BOYS & GIRLS CLUB. KTTS is cross-promoting the campaign on social media and on-air, asking listeners to spread the message to #BeBetter by sharing selfies of themselves wearing the shirts on social media.
