ALPHA MEDIA Top 40 WNGY (ENERGY 102.3)/PEORIA PD CHRIS "LUCKY THE DJ" STEWART will run 102 miles in 102 hours in order to create awareness for child abuse.
The run will begin on APRIL 25th at 9a (CT) from CHICK-FIL-A in PEORIA. The route of the run is TBD but will end on APRIL 29th. During the run, ENERGY 102.3 stickers with the child abuse blue ribbon will be passed out around every five miles.
STEWART has been training at PEORIA AREA HOUSE OF SPEED to prepare for the run. This is not the first time that ENERGY 102.3 has taken on a major challenge with the goal of creating awareness for child abuse. In APRIL, 2015 STEWART and night jock SCOTT EHLKE broke the world record for the Longest Tag-Team Radio Broadcast by a Disc Jockey Duo by staying awake and on-air for 102 hours straight.
Commenting on his upcoming run, STEWART said, “An event like this could only happen in such a strong community like the one we have here in PEORIA. We are excited to get out on the streets and spread the message that it shouldn’t hurt to be a child.”
