In celebration of EARTH DAY 2016, booking agency SKYLINE MUSIC will plant an additional 2,000 trees as part of its ongoing "Book A Band/Plant A Tree Program," To date, SKYLINE MUSIC has planted 12,000 trees in conjunction with the nonprofit TREES FOR THE FUTURE.
For the last five years, every time a SKYLINE artist is booked and the buyer agrees to accept the contract and promo electronically, the company plants a tree.
Said SKYLINE MUSIC Pres. BRUCE HOUGHTON: “It’s a very simple triple win for the environment. We save paper and the environmental cost of delivery, plus new trees are planted by experts.”
SKYLINE MUSIC is the exclusive booking agency for more than 50 diverse artists, including 10,000 MANIACS, THE SMITHEREEENS, ROGER McGUINN, POCO and MARCHFOURTH!
This year, SKYLINE is issuing a challenge to other agencies to start similar programs and offering the free use of its "Book A Band/Plant A Tree" logo.
“The program is surprisingly affordable and TREES FOR THE FUTURE makes it so easy,” said HOUGHTON.
SKYLINE MUSIC has also created a SPOTIFY playlist of earth-friendly songs from its roster of artists here.
