Coming off record attendance at the TORTUGA MUSIC FESTIVAL last weekend, HUKA ENTERTAINMENT CEO EVAN HARRISON announced a number of key executive appointments at the company.
BRENT SILBERSTEIN, a 30-year concert production veteran, has been named Chief Production Officer and DAVE FORTUNE, who has been promoting concerts since his high school days, has been named Vice President of Touring. In addition, BENNETT DRAGO, who co-founded HUKA ENTERTAINMENT with A.J. NILAND, will continue in his role as partner, overseeing all aspects of the company's administrative operations. NILAND, who is Chairman and Chief Experience Officer of HUKA, will continue to focus on the overall vision of the company as well as creating the unique festival experiences for music fans around the world.
HUKA ENTERTAINMENT is a leading independent creator and producer of large scale destination-location music festivals, including the PEMBERTON MUISIC FESTIVAL situated at the base of MT. CURRIE in BRITISH COLUMBIA, which is scheduled for JULY 14th-17th. The company also co-produces the successful BUKU MUSIC + ARTS PROJECT in NEW ORLEANS located on the banks of the MISSISSIPPI RIVER. Earlier this month, HUKA announced an exclusive booking agreement with the 6,500-seat CENTRE OF TALLAHASSEE, which further solidifies the company's strong venue portfolio across the southeast.
Commenting on the announcements, HARRISON said: "BRENT and DAVE have that rare combination of independent entrepreneurial energy and the experience and track records to back it up. Under their leadership, HUKA has been able to produce some of the best fan and artist experiences in the world. Combined with BENNETT, who as a co-founder of HUKA, embodies the spirit of this company, we have a powerful senior executive team who I am confident can help lead HUKA ENTERTAINMENT into our next phase of growth."
SILBERSTEIN began his career in the hugely successful TEXAS-based concert company PACE ENTERTAINMENT, which eventually became part of LIVE NATION. He also established and continues to oversee WAREHOUSE LIVE, a multi-venue complex in HOUSTON, TX, with an overall capacity of 1,750.
FORTUNE has worked in the live music sector for more than 30 years, most recently serving as Vice President of Production for LIVE NATION CANADA, where he oversaw more than 1,800 shows annually.
HUKA ENTERTAINMENT also announced several appointments to FORUNTE's team, including DAN MERKER as Senior Talent Buyer for the TORTUGA MUSIC FESTIVAL and TODD CODER as Talent Buyer for the PEMBERTON MUSIC FESTIVAL team.
