For 36 years, CHET-5 Triple A WDST (RADIO WOODSTOCK 100.1)/POUGHKEEPSIE-WOODSTOCK, NY has been known in the HUDSON VALLEY for its live, local and independent programming, and the station has also built a reputation for outstanding live events such as MOUNTAIN JAM.
Now, RADIO WOODSTOCK is proud to introduce a new addition to its family: THE RADIO WOODSTOCK CARES FOUNDATION, a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
Station principal owner GARY CHETKOF believes that providing aid to local not-for-profits is an important part of his company’s role in the community. He said, “Because we are a local media company and part of the community, we are aware of the needs of these worthwhile organizations and we can use our broadcast and digital media assets to highlight and support them.”
To date, RADIO WOODSTOCK has given over $500,000 to local organizations over the years. With RADIO WOODSTOCK CARES FOUNDATION they can continue their commitment to the non-profits locally and be the focal point of those efforts.”
Beneficiaries of the foundation’s efforts in 2016 are to include FAMILY OF WOODSTOCK INC., THE DYSON CENTER FOR CANCER CARE, MID-HUDSON REGIONAL HEALTH ALLIANCE, FOOD BANK OF THE HUDSON VALLEY, GRACE SMITH HOUSE, ANDERSON CENTER FOR AUTISM and many other deserving charities.
