New York Radio Personality Dandy Dan Daniel Passes Away

Condolences to family and friends of longtime NEW YORK radio personality DANDY DAN DANIEL, who died this morning (6/21) at 82.
DANIEL worked at KXYZ-A/HOUSTON and WDGY-A/MINNEAPOLIS before joining WMCA-A/NEW YORK in 1961, where he became one of the station's "Good Guys" during its Top 40 heyday in the 1960s. He later worked at AC WYNY (Y97), Country WHN-A, and Oldies WCBS-F, retiring at the end of 2002. He was also familiar for commercial work, including a stint as spokesperson for the KORVETTES store chain.
Among DANIEL's survivors is his son CHRIS DANIEL, the afternoon host at CUMULUS News-Talk KMJ-A-F/FRESNO.
