BBR MUSIC GROUP has added CBS RADIO/SACRAMENTO VP/Programming and Country KNCI PD BYRON KENNEDY as Dir./WEST COAST Regional Promotion for its WHEELHOUSE RECORDS imprint. KENNEDY fills the vacancy created when BILL SNICKERS departed the position late last MONTH (NET NEWS 5/24).
KENNEDY has spent the past 15 years at the CBS RADIO/SACRAMENTO cluster, has previously launched stations for CBS RADIO in both SACRAMENTO and PHOENIX, and has past experience at clusters in HONOLULU and FRESNO. "I believe that BYRON's extensive radio experience will add a new dynamic to the WHEELHOUSE promotion team as well as to BBR MUSIC GROUP overall," said WHEELHOUSE RECORDS VP/Promotion TEDDI BONADIES. "His charisma and energy is infectious."
"I am thrilled to be joining WHEELHOUSE RECORDS and BBR MUSIC GROUP! I really believe in this label, its artists, and the many talented and passionate people who work there," said KENNEDY. "I must say that it has been an honor to spend the last 15 years with CBS RADIO. I have learned so much from so many there, and words cannot express how grateful I am they allowed me to call my passion a job. I look forward to starting this new chapter in my life and career!" Reach out to KENNEDY by phone at (916) 798-1025 or via e-mail.
No word yet on a replacement for KENNEDY at KNCI, but ALL ACCESS hears CHAD RUFER, PD of Hot AC KZZO and AC KYMX clustermates, will oversee KNCI programming on an interim basis.
