HUBBARD BROADCASTING Country WIL/ST. LOUIS morning show "BUD AND BROADWAY" concluded their "HUMBLE AND KIND WEEK" (NET NEWS 6/20) with much success. Listeners called in to share the following acts of kindness: Six and eight-year-old sisters asked if they could skip out on snow cones to give their snow cone money to kids who couldn't afford them; a pizza delivery driver stocked up a cooler with cold water to give to construction workers in the heat; two sisters donated 17 inches of hair; a man stopped to help a young woman change a tire on the side of the road; and more.
"The 'HUMBLE AND KIND' effort far exceeded WIL's expectations," shared WIL PD SCOTTY RODDY. "'HUMBLE AND KIND' transcended every station event and concert [last] week, proving that positive karma can become a viral force for social good."
