LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL MUSIC & ART FESTIVAL announces an unprecedented 2016 art program with murals and installations carrying global influences, continuing its legacy of showcasing iconic pieces that provide a memorable, interactive and inspiring experience for attendees, SEPTEMBER 23rd through 25th in DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS (NET NEWS 5/19).
Returning for the fourth consecutive year, JUSTKIDS' CHARLOTTE DUTOIT has once again commissioned artists from around the world to make their mark.
“The LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL MUSIC & ART FESTIVAL has provided DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS with a fantastic open air museum for art enthusiasts,” she explained. “We are thrilled to bring to the city and festival grounds the greatest, most prominent global street artists of our time.”
Among the art moguls include the world-renowned SHEPARD FAIREY; POLAND's kinetic urban contempotary BEZT; ARGENTINA's "ART TOYS" drive force FELIPE PANTONE; designer and videographer TRISTAN EATON; NORWEGIAN-based stencil artist FAFI; NORWAY's artist/illustrator MARTIN WHATSON; SPAIN's notorious "Peanuts" rap artist DULK, and TOKYO's MARK DREW.
In addition to the murals, this year’s art installations will become a defining feature of the three-day festival. Festival-goers will be surrounded by some of the world’s most sought-after artists such as MIKE ROSS with the BIG RIG JIB, a colossal sculpture most recently displayed in the U.K. for BANKSY’s DISMALAND, which will become a permanent fixture within the festival footprint.
Additional must-see installations include the DUTCH, LONDON-based artist SIMON HEIJENS' "Silent Room," a one-of-a-kind anechoic chamber providing fans with an overwhelming, sensory experience. Also making their debuts at the festival are POETIC KINETICS, AMANDA PARER, CRYSTAL WAGNER and LAURA KIMPTON.
