FORBES' "Celebrity 100" ranking of the world's highest-paid celebrities includes some of Country music's biggest names this YEAR. At #15, GARTH BROOKS earned a reported $70 million in pre-tax earnings, no doubt in conjunction with his ongoing "GARTH BROOKS WORLD TOUR WITH TRISHA YEARWOOD." While BROOKS slipped from last year's #6 ranking, he still remains the highest-earning Country artist in the FORBES ranking.
KENNY CHESNEY hopped from #49 to #26 in the rankings with a pre-tax income of $56 million, while LUKE BRYAN moved up from #48 to #37 with $53 million of reported income. TOBY KEITH combines his income from music and various other business ventures to come in at #47 with $47.5 million, and JASON ALDEAN pulled in a cool $36.5 million to rank at #75. And, for anyone wondering, our format's favorite daughter, TAYLOR SWIFT, ranked #1 this year after pulling in a reported $170 million in pre-tax income as part of her current domination of the Pop music world. Not a bad year for a group of NASHVILLE-area dwellers.
