SLACKER RADIO is coming to WINDOWS 10 through an application that allows desktop and tablet users to install SLACKER natively. The application provides new capabilities like MICROSOFT WINDOWS Live Tile support, adaptive UI and CORTANA integration.
With the new app, users can now use the native WINDOWS 10 taskbar and volume controls to access SLACKER's artist-curated shows and themed stations, including its 12 original shows which boast more than 250 interactive episodes. Users can also use CORTANA voice controls to navigate and play SLACKER's archive of content that is based on interactive storytelling from its hosts and top artists.
"Dating back to its inception, SLACKER RADIO has a proud history of being a developer partner for Windows," said SLACKER SVP/Sales and Business Development STEVE COTTER. "We're excited to take the WINDOWS experience a step forward with a dynamic app that will allow SLACKER RADIO listeners to access the app wherever they go and on the platform of their choosing."
"As the convergence of mobile, desktop and gaming consoles continues, our customers desire a seamless app experience," said MICROSOFT VP/U.S. Developer Experience and Evangelism LARRY ORECKLIN. "The latest example of SLACKER RADIO tailoring its service to WINDOWS highlights the Microsoft ability to attract forward-thinking partners capable of staying one step ahead of customer expectations to deliver the best possible interaction, no matter the touch point."
