WJQK/Grand Rapids Goes To Biloxi, Hires Bateman For Weekends

Contemporary Christian WJQK (99.3)/GRAND RAPIDS will take 80 listeners to BILOXI, MS from NOVEMBER 5-10 to help continue the rebuilding efforts after last year’s hurricane season. WJQK will work closely with URBAN LIFE MINISTRIES, a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to helping the residents of BILOXI rebuild their homes. The station will air “THE MORNING SHOW WITH MANDY AND BRIAN” and the midday show with CECI LABARGE live from BILOXI.
WJQK also recently hired BOB BATEMAN to cover weekends and vacations for full-time announcers. BATEMAN comes to WJQK from CLEAR CHANNEL Country WMIL (106.1)/MILWAUKEE. BATEMAN is a 30-year veteran broadcaster who has also worked at Classic Rock WMGK (102.9), WJJZ and WEAZ/PHILADELPHIA, and Talk WLS-A (890)/CHICAGO.
