Two more copyright lawsuits have been filed against radio companies for using photos on their websites without permission or payment.
Photographer JESSE WARD has sued iHEARTMEDIA, INC. in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of NEW YORK over use of a photograph of FOXY BROWN on the website of Urban WBFA (98.3 THE BEAT)/COLUMBUS, GA, owned by ALOHA STATION TRUST, the spinoff entity that holds licenses the company needs to divest (although the station website uses the iHEARTRADIO web template used by iHEARTMEDIA stations).
And photographer DAVID OPPENHEIMER and his PERFORMANCE IMPRESSIONS, LLC is suing TOWNSQUARE MEDIA, INC. in U.S. District Court in MASSACHUSETTS over use of a 2008 copyrighted photo of GREGG ALLMAN at the WARREN HAYNES CHRISTMAS JAM on the website of Classic Rock KYGL (EAGLE 106.3)/TEXARKANA, AR.
