Silent STA Application Continues Dispute Over Ownership Of Missouri Stations
BROADCAST ENTERPRISES INC. has applied for a Silent STA for KIXK/WHEATLAND, MO, but the circumstances are unusual: the application by RANDAL L. WACHTER, who is embroiled in a dispute with lenders, alleges that the station was put back on the air by individuals he charges with identity theft.
In a letter dated JUNE 10th but filed FRIDAY, WACHTER, who previously filed a Silent STA request on JULY 8th that appeared in the FCC database on AUGUST 5th, alleges that "Mr. ECKELKAMP and Mr. MOIR and whoever else filed the documents with the FCC" for the station on JUNE 9, 2016 used his name and FRN on the applications without permission and that the "identity thief (sic)" began on applications for Alternative KQQX (93X)/HERMANN, MO. A transfer of KQQX and Triple A KKAC/VANDALIA, MO from WACHTER's TWENTY-ONE SOUND COMMUNICATIONS, INC. to court-appointed receiver DENNIS WALLACE, represented by WILLIAM W. ECKELKAMP, JR., was approved by the FCC in MAY; that application included the court order and noted that WACHTER had failed to cooperate with the application, leading to WALLACE signing both assignor and assignee portions of the application. The court case in FRANKLIN COUNTY Circuit Court had EAST CENTRAL BROADCASTING INC. and LOUIS B. ECKELKAMP, III suing WACHTER and his companies for defaulting on loans and promissory notes held by the plaintiffs.
Also applying for a Silent STA is RAMH CORPORATION for KDEF-A/ALBUQUERQUE due to a lost antenna site; the station is listed as deleted but has a restoration pending while SANGRE DE CRISTO BROADCASTING CO., INC. awaits RAMH CORPORATION paying off outstanding regulatory fees so the station can be sold.
BICOASTAL MEDIA LICENSES II, LLC has requested a Silent STA for K262AU/COOS BAY, OR while a move pends.
And PAL OF FLORIDA, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for WZEA-LP/ORMOND BEACH, FL due to technical difficulties.
