Lifestyle cannabis media company PRØHBTD has partnered with SHAZAM and GRAMMY-nominated DJ DIRTY SOUTH for an episode of "PRØHBTD Cities | LOS ANGELES. " In the latest installment of "PRØHBTD Cities," the BALKANS-born, AUSSIE-raised DJ gives an inside look at his L.A.-based recording studio as he discusses co-directing a new film, "Suburban Cowboy," composing the score, moving to CALIFORNIA and making music.
The progressive Cannabis media company is working with larger mainstream platforms to help drive discovery around artists and their music. When users SHAZAM DIRTY SOUTH's new single, "All of Us," they are given access to watch exclusive video content here.
PRØHBTD Co-Founder DRAKE SUTTON-SHEARER said: "Our millennial audience expects great content experiences from us, so we jumped at the opportunity to work with DIRTY SOUTH and SHAZAM to help fans discover more about his artistic process and we look forward to helping other world-class artists do the same in the near future."
DIRTY SOUTH's upcoming feature film, "Suburban Cowboy," answers the question: "What can go wrong when a LONG ISLAND drug dealer messes with the wrong guy?"
"The soundtrack is very different than the normal DIRTY SOUTH stuff,” he says of the film. “It's a lot more aggressive and minimal and distorted. Imagine techno music, but stripped back, and it's a lot of atmospheric and distorted bass lines. It helps you understand that the character is going through some crazy stuff.”
DJ SOUTH is gearing up to release his third studio album, and other singles all year long. His latest, “All of Us,” came out earlier this year.
