Following YESTERDAY's (9/22) restructuring of the WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE (WMN) promotion staff and realignment under its new Radio & Streaming team (NET NEWS 9/22), several WMN staffers have departed the building. Former SVP/Promotion KEVIN HERRING and former WEA VP/Promotion JORDAN PETTIT have both been displaced in the realignment. Additionally, Dir./A&R REBEKAH GORDON, WEA Coord./Promotion BLAKE NIXON, and Sr. Dir./Publicity NIKKI HERCEG have also departed.
HERRING had been with the company since DECEMBER 2012 (NET NEWS 12/11/12) and was upped to SVP/Promotion just over a YEAR later (NET NEWS 2/4/14). His previous stops include EMI NASHVILLE and LYRIC STREET RECORDS. "Obviously, this news being only one day old, I am assessing next steps," HERRING told ALL ACCESS. "I am going to take a little time to do that and see what comes up. That said, I am a promotion guy. I love doing record promotion, and it's what I'm best at. I have nothing but great memories of my time at WARNER. I was proud to help drive that ship for almost four years, and I'm proud of what my teams accomplished." Reach out to HERRING here.
PETTIT joined the company in OCTOBER of 2011 as W.A.R. Dir./National Promotion (NET NEWS 10/12/11). He was then upped to WEA VP/Promotion upon the creation of the imprint in MAY 2014 (NET NEWS 5/28/14). Previous career stops include time with SHOW DOG-UNIVERSAL SOUTH and SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE. PETTIT can be reached via e-mail here.
GORDON is an 11-year industry vet and is currently on the hunt for her next opportunity. "I'm so thankful for my years at WARNER and the opportunity to learn from my experiences, work with incredible artists, and grow with the company," GORDON told ALL ACCESS. "I'm looking for my next opportunity, and I'm excited for what the future holds." Contact GORDON here.
NIXON joined WEA in DECEMBER 2014 (NET NEWS 12/8/14) and has previous experience at WORD ENTERTAINMENT and CUMULUS Country WSM/NASHVILLE. He also interned in the radio promotion department at UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP NASHVILLE. "WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE had been my home for nearly five years -- starting with my first job out of college," NIXON explained to ALL ACCESS. "I will always be incredibly thankful for the opportunities and experiences that this company has provided. Through the abundance of personal growth and professional development, I know that WMN has shaped me and prepared me for what's next -- my best chapter yet." NIXON be contacted here.
HERCEG is a 13-year company veteran having worked with WARNER on two separate occasions, from 2002 through 2010 and again rejoining the company in SEPTEMBER 2011 (NET NEWS 9/29/11). HERCEG has additional experience as an independent publicist and started her career at MSO PR/NASHVILLE. "I am inspired and invigorated to take the next step in my career and wish ESPO and the team nothing but the best with the restructure of WMN," HERCEG told ALL ACCESS. "They have been my work family for a long time, and I have high hopes that we'll all meet our goals and achieve much success in the next chapter." She can be reached here.
