CBS RADIO’s PLAY.IT podcast network and another CBS CORPORATION division, publishing giant SIMON & SCHUSTER, are partnering again to launch a new podcast. “THE PAPER DONKEY PODCAST” has posted its first episode TODAY, with host VICTORIA TAYLOR discussing the book "All the Single Ladies" with author REBECCA TRAISTER and SIMON & SCHUSTER Editor-in-Chief MARYSUE RUCCI. The 45-minute show, the second SIMON & SCHUSTER podcast on PLAY.IT, will post every other WEDNESDAY.
“‘THE PAPER DONKEY PODCAST’ is a compelling look inside the world of publishing and a unique addition to our robust and varied line-up of captivating on-demand audio content,” said CBS LOCAL DIGITAL MEDIA EVP/GM ADAM WIENER. “We are thrilled to collaborate with SIMON & SCHUSTER on a second podcast on the PLAY.IT network.”
“PLAY.IT is a valuable asset within CBS RADIO’s digital portfolio, offering a variety of content and voices on everything from sports and news to entertainment, and now publishing,” said CBS RADIO EVP, Digital J.D. CROWLEY. “As we continue to grow our on-demand audio offerings, respected partners like SIMON & SCHUSTER help deliver the rich and diverse storytelling our listeners crave.”
“We want to give people the chance to eavesdrop on the real conversations that go on between writers and editors, as a way of illuminating and demystifying the way books happen,” said SIMON & SCHUSTER President and Publisher JONATHAN KARP. “We promise listeners a window into the imagination, impulses and innards of the publishing world.”
