MOMENTUM BROADCASTING Top 40 KCRZ (HiTZ 104.9) and sister station KIOO (99.7 Classic Rock) recently conducted an all-day Donate-A-Bra program. Listeners dropped off new and used bras, which were assembled into a giant "Bra Wall" that was then hung from the station building, located on one of the city's busiest thoroughfares.
Donations were also collected to help underwrite mammograms for women unable to afford them. Hundreds of listeners dropped off bras during the day, and both stations also generated tons of money for the KAWEAH DELTA BREAST CENTER free mammogram program.
PD RANDY HENDRIX told ALL ACCESS, "We had people from all walks of life stop by to donate a bra for the wall and many wrote on them for family members that had passed away due to breast cancer. It was a great day for the station and the community to see so many people stop to take selfies, and donate."
