CUMULUS/WILKES BARRE-SCRANTON, PA has named RANDY SAVAGE (aka BRUCE MURRY) as OM for its five-station cluster, which includes Country WSJR (NASH FM 93.7), Top 40 WBHT, AC WMGS, Rock WBSX, and Oldies WARM-A. SAVAGE will also serve as PD/afternoon drive for WSJR; he succeeds MIKE VINCENT as PD/afternoons following VINCENT's transition to CUMULUS/MELBOURNE, FL for OM duties last YEAR (NET NEWS 9/30).
SAVAGE joins from RENDA BROADCASTING/FT. MYERS, FL where he enjoyed a 20-year career and served as OM in addition to handling PD responsibilities for RENDA Country WWGR (GATOR COUNTRY 101.9) (NET NEWS 10/7/13).
"It has been the honor of my life to program these great radio stations in SOUTHWEST FLORIDA," said SAVAGE. "They are near and dear to my heart, but it's time to move on. I'm excited about joining CUMULUS MEDIA and the WILKES BARRE-SCRANTON cluster and look forward to working with the great staff there to continue to grow these brands." SAVAGE is on the job effective immediately. Congratulate him here.
