NYSSCPA's Excellence In Financial Journalism Awards Calling For Entries

The NEW YORK STATE SOCIETY OF CPAs (NYSSCPA) 34th annual Excellence in Financial Journalism Awards (EFJ) is calling for submissions, including radio and podcast entries.  Reports published, posted or aired between JANUARY 1st, 2016 and DECEMBER 31st, 2016 are eligible for the awards, which will be presented at a luncheon at the TRIBECA GRILL in NEW YORK on JUNE 8th.

Awards will be given in 9 categories: Audio (exemplary coverage of a business, financial, or economic news story using radio, podcasts, or other online audio formats); Book; Enterprise (exemplary business, economic, or financial story in any medium featuring in-depth research, journalistic initiative, reporting and creativity); General Reporting (newspaper, magazine or online); Infographic; Local (exemplary business reporting by a newspaper, magazine, television or radio station, or website focused around a geographic area whose primary audience are the residents in that area); Opinion (editorials, columns, blogs, podcasts or video, on business, economic or financial topics); Public Service; and Video.
