RAB: Ad Sales Off Again In September, Q3

Radio ad revenue fell again in SEPTEMBER and for third quarter overall, according to the RAB's latest revenue figures. In SEPTEMBER, overall ad revenue was off 3%, with national off 1% and local off 3% year-to-year. Non-spot revenue rose 11%, resulting in a grand total of a 2% decline in overall revenue (ad sales and non-spot combined).
For third quarter, national ad sales jumped 5% but local fell 2%, resulting in a 1% ad sales decline year-to-year. Non-spot revenue rose 11%, with the grand total of all sales (spot and non-spot) flat from the previous year.
