Paul Harvey Sings Radio Listeners' -- And PPM's -- Praises

On today's edition of "PAUL HARVEY News & Comment," the legendary broadcaster had some kind words to say about staying power of radio's audience and ARBITRON's PORTABLE PEOPLE METER. HARVEY said:
"ARBITRON, for an improved accuracy in measuring the radio audience, developed a portable people meter. The people meter, tested in the HOUSTON market, proved itself and demonstrated that we now have a way to tell if you, the radio listener, tune out during the commercial messages. Well, happily, you do not. Ninety-two percent of radio listeners keep listening to and through the commercial. Good for you! Good for you! Very often, you learn more from the commercial than you do from the program."
