WNVZ Morning Show Meltdown Avoided

ALL ACCESS has learned that it's all good in the 'hood again at ENTERCOM Top 40/Rhythmic WNVZ (Z104)/NORFOLK with the THE Z MORNING ZOO WITH NICK, TRICIA AND SHAGGY back on the air following a lengthy and protracted contract negotiation (NET NEWS 1/3) that took the trio off the air.
Z104 PD MICHAEL BRYAN got on the air this morning at 7:20a and the trio, laden with newly bought bling from their monster raises, came back to the studio and announced "a 20% reduction in commercial spot loads" -- that's 72 commercials per day, or around 24,000 less spots by the end of the year!
The walkout not only peaked listener interest, but the page views from z104.com went through the roof from an average of 8,000 daily to well over 40,000 last THURSDAY (1/4). That same day the story made the front page of the VIRGINIAN PILOT.
