The CRTC, CANADA's broadcasting regulator, named Vice Chairman/Broadcast MICHEL ARPIN Acting Chairman.
The move comes after the leading candidates for the full-time position, former Vice Chairman FERNAND BELISLE and former TELUS executive GEORGE ADDY, were rejected by the Prime Minister's office last month. Former Chairman CHARLES DALFEN exited at the end of 2006 when his five-year term expired.
