FM Translator Sales, Swaps Filed With FCC

A flurry of FM translator trades and sales were filed withthe FCC today. In one deal, RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY INC. transfers FM translator W223BF/JACKSON, AL to ALAN KILGORE for no consideration. The translator will rebroadcast MOODY BIBLE INSTITUTE's noncommercial WMBV/DIXONS MILLS, AL.
Meanwhile, RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY's affiliated company EDGEWATER BROADCASTING INC. is transferring six ALABAMA translators (W278AR/ATMORE, W278AP/DAPHNE, W262BL/GULF SHORES, W279AT/ROBERTSDALE, W262AR/BREWTON, and W272BE/BREWTON) and RADIO ASSIST is transferring five more (W231AP/ALEXANDER CITY, W246BN/BAY MINETTE, W245AU/JEMISON, W231BN/SYLACAUGA, and W295BB/FAIRHOPE) to FAITH BROADCASTING INC. for no consideration. The translators will rebroadcast FAITH's noncommercial Religion WLBF/MONTGOMERY.
GOSPEL ECHO is selling FM translator K277BH/MADRAS, OR to TERRY A. COWAN for $500. COWAN owns Contemporary Christian KNLR (NEW LIFE 97)/BEND, OR and will use the translator for signal fill-in purposes.
And POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE RADIO is swapping FM translator W218BZ/CROZET, VA and the CP for W236BG/HARRISONBURG, VA to STU-COMM INC. in exchange for W243BT/WAYNESBORO, VA. W218BZ will continue to rebroadcast VIRGINIA TECH's noncommercial WVTF/ROANOKE, and W236BG will rebroadcast STU-COMM's noncommercial Alternative WNRN/CHARLOTTESVILLE.
