The 22nd Annual Stellar Awards Given Out

The 22ND ANNUAL STELLAR AWARDS were held JANUARY 13 in NASHVILLE at the GRAND OLE OPRY HOUSE and hosted by KIRK FRANKLIN, MARY MARY and TYE TRIBBETT.
DONALD LAWRENCE & THE TRI-CITY SINGERS and their project “Finale: Act One” were the evening’s big winners, receiving eight awards: Artist, Choir, Contemporary Choir, Contemporary CD, Special Event CD and Music Video of the Year; LAWRENCE won Producer of the Year, and “Finale” won Recorded Music Packaging of the Year.
The night’s other big winners were MYRON BUTLER (Male Vocalist of the Year) and his group MYRON BUTLER & LEVI, who won New Artist, Group/Duo and Contemporary Group/Duo of the year. HOST TRIBBETT was the other multiple-award winner, picking up Contemporary Male Vocalist and his group, TYE TRIBBETT & G.A., winning for Urban/Inspirational Single/Performance of the year.
