UNIVERSAL MOTOWN RECORDS has named SHEP GOODMAN VP/A&R. A longtime partner in the production team known as "SHEP & KENNY," GOODMAN has worked as a producer, songwriter and A&R representative in the music industry for over a decade. He began his career as the lead singer/songwriter in the band COWARD.
"SHEP brings to UNIVERSAL MOTOWN a discerning eye for talent, uncommon street sensibility, and great instincts for realizing the potential of both underground and mainstream acts," stated UNIVERSAL MOTOWN EVP/International ANDREW KRONFELD. "His hands-on experience will be invaluable as he joins us in developing the next generation of UNIVERSAL MOTOWN artists."
Pres. SYLVIA RHONE said, "SHEP possesses a wide lens into the creative landscape. His passion and enthusiasm, coupled with his wealth of experience behind the boards and on the firing line as both a songwriter and label entrepreneur, will add a unique perspective to our A&R department. The entire company joins us in welcoming SHEP to the UNIVERSAL family."
