EMI/MANHATTAN RECORDS has named MIKE BAILEY and JOHN McCRACKEN A&R Directors. BAILEY was previously an A&R rep at BACK PORCH/NARADA RECORDS (BACK PORCH is now part of EMI/MANHATTAN), while McCRACKEN is an independent music and DVD producer as well as musician and composer who has produced over 50 recordings in the classical crossover, choral, contemporary Christian and jazz fields.
BAILEY will work closely with MANHATTAN and BACK PORCH's mainstream, rock and Americana artists, including ALEJANDRO ESCOVEDO, CARRIE RODRIGUEZ and THE SUBDUDES, as well as recently signed EMERSON HART. McCRACKEN will work closely with all of MANHATTAN's classical crossover artists, as well as the label's BROADWAY, including LINDA EDER, HEAVENLY VOICES, TWELVE GIRLS BAND, newcomer TIM SHEFF and the soon-to-be released BROADWAY soundtrack to "CURTAINS."
Their combined talents bring a balance of A&R abilities to the company that will enable us to develop a roster of artists in most adult genres of music.
EMI/MANHATTAN GM IAN RALFINI said, "The combined talents of MIKE BAILEY and JOHN McCRACKEN bring a balance of A&R abilities to the company that will enable us to develop a roster of artists in most adult genres of music."
