NY Times Company Reports Q4 Losses

THE NEW YORK TIMES COMPANY announced a 2006 fourth-quarter diluted loss per share of $4.50, compared with diluted earnings per share (EPS) of 43 cents in the fourth quarter of 2005.
Fourth-quarter net loss was $648 million compared with net income of $63.2 million in the same period of 2005. Excluding the non-cash charge, fourth-quarter net income would have increased 39% to $87.9 million, up from $63.2 million in the same period of 2005.
The company expects to complete the sale of RADIO DISNEY WQEW/NEW YORK for $40 million in the first quarter.
