'A Prairie Home Companion,' 'Marketplace' Join XM Lineup

XM SATELLITE RADIO today announced plans to add AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA's "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Marketplace," to the XM PUBLIC RADIO (XMPR) lineup. Beginning MARCH 3, the GARRISON KEILLOR-hosted "A Prairie Home Companion" will air live every SATURDAY from 6-8p ET on XMPR (XM 133), with additional encores airing during the week. The regular "Marketplace" program, hosted by KAI RYSSDAL, will begin airing on weekdays on MARCH 5 at 7p; "Marketplace Morning Report" will air on weekdays, also starting MARCH 5, while the hourlong weekend program "Marketplace Money" will air on SATURDAYS at 9p starting MARCH 3.
"Now XM listeners can enjoy even more popular public radio programming," said XM Exec. VP/Programming ERIC LOGAN. "'A Prairie Home Companion' and the portfolio of 'Marketplace' programs complement the high-quality content already available on XM PUBLIC RADIO, including the award-winning 'BOB EDWARDS Show.'"
Other APM programs also joining the XMPR lineup this spring include "The Story," "Weekend America," "Sound Opinions" and "Performance Today Weekend."
