Denise George Sends Thanks
February 19, 2007 at 5:40 AM (PT)
Many in the business have been following the story of our friend DENISE GEORGE, who is now home after an approximately three-week stay at HENRY FORD HOSPITAL, recovering from the effects of a stroke and aneurysm.
DENISE's family had kept us all up to date on a website called CARINGBRIDGE. Now DENISE has posted her first letter since the incident. She wrote on SATURDAY:
Three weeks ago my life changed suddenly. I don’t know why this happened to me because the doctors said that I was not part of the high-risk group (no family history, no high blood pressure, not a smoker, etc.). But it happened, and I suffered through it, and now I am on the road to full recovery. But I would not be on the road to recovery if it had not been for the loving prayers sent to me from my family and all of you. I am very blessed to have survived this ordeal and not to have lost any physical or mental skills. It will just take time for my injury to heal and for me to regain my strength.
I love JIMMY and TREVOR very much. They were there for me every day, inspiring me to fight the fight and fighting it with me. Every day JIM and TREVOR would print your messages and read them to me. You don’t know how much it meant to me to hear the names and listen to your kind words. I was and still am overwhelmed with all the support, and I want to thank all of you for thinking of me during these trying times.
The CARINGBRIDGE site is amazing. I am sure it helps countless families during difficult times like it did for us. But now it’s time for me to heal and to start living life again. Going forward, you can contact me through my e-mail address, firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope to hear from you soon.
With my deepest thanks, appreciation and love,
