Halifax Host Pleads Not Guilty To Assault, Other Charges

ROGERS COMMUNICATIONS News/Talk/Sports CJNI (NEWS 95.7)/HALIFAX; CKNI (NEWS 91.9)/MONCTON, NB; and CHNI (NEWS 88.9)/SAINT JOHN, NB 9a-noon "MARITIME MORNINGS" host ANDREW KRYSTAL has entered a not-guilty plea to charges of assault, mischief, and two breaches of an undertaking (violations of orders to stay away from alcohol).
KRYSTAL, who faces allegations of domestic assault and damaging a woman's property, did not appear in court himself for the hearing TUESDAY, with his lawyer entering the pleas on his behalf.
The host was pulled from the air for about a week in JANUARY due to the charges and has since returned to the air; a trial has been set for MAY 15 on all but the last count of breaching the undertaking, which will be heard on AUGUST 28.
