More details have emerged about the new Talk format to be installed on PAPPAS move-in KTRB-A/SAN FRANCISCO on MARCH 15. The music format with which the station launched, "THE SAN FRANCISCO SOUND," will air as a SATURDAY and SUNDAY night show starting MARCH 17.
Until the launch, KTRB will air a "Tribute to SAN FRANCISCO Radio" produced with the BAY AREA RADIO MUSEUM with segments featuring BAY AREA radio legends like DON SHERWOOD, DR. DON ROSE, AL "JAZZBEAUX" COLLINS, TOM DONAHUE, BOB FOUTS, K.O. BAYLEY, BOBBY MITCHELL, and JACK WEBB, plus stations like KEWB-A, KABL-A, KYA-A, KFRC-A, KSFO-A, KMPX, and KSAN.
VP/GM JIM PAPPAS says, "Our new schedule presents an entertaining and informative way for our listeners to spend their day. We are confident that MANCOW MULLER and JOHN LONDON will once again dominate the airwaves in the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. Adding the ever-outspoken GLENN BECK and NEAL BOORTZ to the mix will ensure that our audiences can always find something lively and provocative on the all-new 50,000-watt AM 860 KTRB, Truth Radio for the Bay."
