Breast Cancer Victims File Claims Against Australia's ABC

Eight of the women who developed breast cancer while working at ABC's BRISBANE studios have filed workers' compensation claims against the AUSTRALIAN national network, reports the COURIER MAIL. The eight are among 15 women diagnosed with breast cancer over a 12-year period, a cluster rate up to 11 times higher than average. The network has referred the claims to its insurance carrier, COMCARE, for disposition.
The TOOWONG studio operations have since moved to alternate locations; a report last week said that tests have not found any reason for the elevated cluster rate.
