Longtime CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WIOQ (Q102)/PHILADELPHIA morning co-host DIEGO RAMOS, who is currently part of the BOOKER SHOW, was honored as “Favorite Media Personality” at the PHILADELPHIA HISPANIC CHOICE AWARDS held SATURDAY (3/24) at the KIMMEL CENTER in PHILADELPHIA. The event recognizes and celebrates Hispanic individuals, businesses and organizations who work every day to truly make a difference in the community.
DIEGO was born in COLOMBIA and managed to survive the culture shock of moving to NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA at the age of 8. At Q102, DIEGO worked his way up from intern to air personality when he was given an overnight shift on the weekends. His humorous calls with drunks, kooks and night crawlers got management’s attention, and he soon moved up as a key player in the morning show. He's been honored numerous times for his extensive community involvement, particularly his work with kids, and his support for the PHILADELPHIA POLICE DEPARTMENT.
