Following last week's unexpected departure of longtime market manager HERNDON HASTY, WILKS BROADCASTING GROUP/KANSAS CITY has established a new management structure to oversee the four-station cluster, which includes Country KFKF, Country KBEQ, Top 40 KMXV and AC KCKC.
KFKF Sales Manager MIKE ROWEN has been promoted to VP/Market Manager; Dir./Programming MIKE KENNEDY is upped to VP/Programming-Operations; controller MARLA ZIRKLE is named VP/Controller; and KCKC APD/morning man LUKE JENSEN is promoted to PD of KCKC, a job previously held by KENNEDY.
"As difficult as it was to lose a KANSAS CITY radio legend like HERNDON HASTY, it also presents an opportunity for us to promote excellent talent within the properties," said CEO JEFF WILKS.
