Station Sales: Another Three Eagles Spinoff, Another EMF Buy

THREE EAGLES COMMUNICATIONS is spinning off another station it recently purchased from CLEAR CHANNEL, selling Classic Rock KXLP/NEW ULM-MANKATO, MN to JOHN LINDER's MINNESOTA VALLEY BROADCASTING for $3,132,500. The buyer owns seven other stations in Southern MINNESOTA.
In other sales filed with the FCC, EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is buying the construction permits for nine FMs from GEORGE S. FLINN JR.'s BROADCASTING FOR THE CHALLENGED for $400,000 in a promissory note. The stations being sold to EMF include KPEB/SAN ANGELO, TX; KNIL/JACKSON, WY; KKSB/SCOTTSBLUFF, NE; KKNM/GALLUP, NM; WICE/IRONWOOD, MI; WMBZ/HALIFAX, PA; KKWV/AEANSAS PASS, TX; and new FMs at ROSWELL, NM and HOBBS, NM.
WALLINGFORD BROADCASTING COMPANY INC. sells Country WRLV-A & F (THE COYOTE)/SALYERSVILLE, KY to DR. C. C. SMITH's MORGAN COUNTY INDUSTRIES INC. for $460,000. The buyer owns five other KENTUCKY stations.
ALAN E. KARSH is selling FM translator K243AP/DOLORES, CO to MT COMMUNICATIONS for $1,000. And FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH is donating FM translators W238AN/CLINTON, KY; W258AN/PADUCAH, KY; and W268AL/HOPKINSVILLE, KY to HEARTLAND MINISTRIES INC.
