FCC Rejects BCA Objection To Emmis TV, Radio Sales

The FCC has slapped down BROADCAST COMPANY OF THE AMERICAS LLC's petition for reconsideration of the previous rejection of its petitions to deny the grant of EMMIS' sale of several TV stations to JOURNAL, LIN, and MONTECITO and Urban WHHL (HOT 104)/ST. LOUIS to RADIO ONE.
BCA had alleged "willful misrepresentation, lack of candor and abuse of the Commission’s process" arising from EMMIS' objection to the operation of XHBCE/TECATE, BCN, MEXICO, which BCA programs as part of its Sports XX SPORTS RADIO simulcast with XEPRS-A/ROSARITO-SAN DIEGO, but the Commission had previously rejected BCA's petitions for lack of standing and also ruled that the petitions failed on the merits.
