BUCKLEY Talk WOR-A/NEW YORK's "OPERATION GOOD NEIGHBOR" charity program will hold a 13-hour radiothon next THURSDAY (5/10) to benefit the BUONICONTI FUND TO CURE PARALYSIS, founded by legendary MIAMI DOLPHINS linebacker NICK BUONICONTI.
The radiothon will run from 5a to 6p ET and will air in segments on the station's morning show with JOE BARTLETT and DONNA HANOVER, middayer JOAN HAMBURG's show, "FOOD TALK WITH MICHAEL COLAMECO," "THE DR. JOY BROWNE SHOW," and ELLIS HENNICAN and LYNNE WHITE's afternoon show. Celebrity guests will include BUONICONTI and his son MARC (whose paralysis from a football injury led to the family's advocacy for paralysis research), former hockey stars JOHN VANBIESBROUCK and KEN DANEYKO, baseball Hall of Famer WADE BOGGS, former GAINTS linebacker BRIAN KELLY, and boxer GERRY COONEY.
WOR is donating all ticket sales proceeds for events throughout 2007 to the BUONICONTI FUND as well.
