Report: UK's Xfm Considers No Jocks For Middays

The GUARDIAN is reporting that GCAP MEDIA is restructuring daytime programming on Alternative XFM/LONDON and its sister stations in MANCHESTER and SCOTLAND, and an option under consideration is to drop all disc jockeys from 10a-4p. Under the plan, the station would air only music with jingles and ads from the end of ALEX ZANE's morning show through the start of afternoon drive.
A GCAP spokeswoman tells the paper, "It is purely speculation at the moment. No formal announcement has been made."
