EMAP CEO TOM MOLONEY has exited the UK media giant in what the company says was a "mutual agreement." Non-executive Chairman ALUN CATHCART will take over as Executive Chairman and interim CEO while the company looks for MOLONEY's successor.
MOLONEY has been with EMAP since 1981 and was named CEO in 2003. The company issued a statement by CATHCART saying, "The board thanks TOM for his dedicated service to EMAP throughout his career and for the last four years as chief executive. TOM has made a significant contribution to the company's development and leaves EMAP positioned for growth in the new digital era. We wish him well for the future."
