Stern Drama: Artie Lange Talks About Quitting Show

Is ARTIE LANGE preparing to leave the HOWARD STERN show on SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO? The comic and STERN sidekick, after some on-air conflict over his comments on WEDNESDAY's "WRAP-UP SHOW" criticizing STERN and producer GARY DELL'ABATE, told STERN on THURSDAY's show that he will "probably" leave the show in JANUARY and is considering taking six months off from "everything." The conversation fell short of a formal announcement, and STERN said that he would be fine with whatever LANGE wants to do, but he pleaded with LANGE to see a psychiatrist before making a final decision.
LANGE, complaining about health problems and burnout, ended the show with his status still uncertain. He joined the STERN show in 2001, replacing JACKIE "THE JOKEMAN" MARTLING.
