Jordin Sparks Initially Turned Away By American Idol

"What do you mean, 'Something's missing'?"

This morning (5/30), CBS RADIO AC KVIL (103.7 LITE FM)/DALLAS' GENE & JULIE morning show interviewed newly crowned AMERICAN IDOL JORDIN SPARKS. During the interview, SPARKS mentioned that she originally interviewed for the competition in LOS ANGELES but was not accepted. She said the AI producer told her, "I love your voice, but there's just something missing."

Determined, SPARKS entered a singing competition in ARIZONA which paid for her to participate in the SEATTLE AMERICAN IDOL auditions, where she would earn a ticket to HOLLYWOOD and eventually go on to victory as the 2007 AMERICAN IDOL.
