Congrats to SONY BMG Sr. Director/A&R JIM CATINO, who was recently named "Man Of The Year" by the TENNESSEE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY. The award was given out at the ninth annual MAN & WOMAN OF THE YEAR GALA on THURSDAY, MAY 31 at the DOUBLETREE HOTEL in DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE. Setting a new fundraising record for the campaign for the third year in a row, the 14 candidates collectively raised $447,000 in just 10 weeks. Remarkably, CATINO raised over $107,000 by himself, setting a new individual record.
When asked why he decided to participate in the fundraising competition, CATINO replied, “No one should have to face these horrible diseases. When I met the Boy & Girl of the Year and learned of their personal experiences, it really wasn’t a choice, it was something I had to do. Additionally, I had a blast, met some great people and made friends along the way. It was definitely a humbling experience and a win-win.”
Former NBC-TV APPRENTICE contestant CHARMAINE HUNT of NASHVILLE was named "Woman Of The Year." Congrats also to Country WKDF/NASHVILLE air personality BECCA WALLS on raising over $21,000. Contact CATINO at Jim.Catino@sonybmg.com.
