WFAN Prepares To Celebrate 20th Anniversary

CBS Sports WFAN-A/NEW YORk celebrates its 20th anniversary with a WFAN Reunion Weekend on JUNE 30 and JULY 1. Former hosts and anchors HOWIE ROSE, IAN EAGLE, JIM LAMPLEY, RUSS SALZBERG, BILL MAZER, and SPENCER ROSS will be among the guests as the station celebrates the 20th aniversary of the station's sign-on (at 1050 AM, the former WHN-A, with a SUZYN WALDMAN report at 3p JULY 1, 1987; WALDMAN is now the color commentator for YANKEES baseball on sister WCBS-A).
An interactive poll at the station's website is asking fans to vote on their favorite sports moment of the last 20 years, with the winner announced on MIKE FRANCESA and CHRIS "MAD DOG" RUSSO's afternoon show on JUNE 28. And middayer JOE BENIGNO and late-night host STEVE SOMERS will do a live remote broadcast on JUNE 30 from 9p-2a.
