The Canadian SUPREME COURT has refused to hear GENEX COMMUNICATIONS' appeal of the loss of its license for French Alternative CHOI (RADIO X)/QUEBEC CITY in a CRTC ruling that yanked the station's operating authority due to comments on the air by former morning man JEFF FILLION.
The court announced THURSDAY that it will not hear GENEX's appeal of the order. The station remains on the air under new ownership of RADIO-NORD COMMUNICATIONS, which won a new license for the 98.1 FM frequency and bought the format and assets of CHIO from GENEX.
